Rock Island GP40 4710...after the wreck repairs with no time/money left for a complete paint job.
Pilot faces rebuilt, cut bars added,new plow, new horn, lift rings, speed recorder, firecracker antenna, etc etc.
The primer is floquil primer, then sprayed with Scalecoat II white. Blue is custom mixed Floquil. Red was custom mixed Scalecoat II red, yellow was Scalecoat II yellow toned down with white. Underframe is Floquil Engine black . The decals are Microscale, and the entire unit was semiglossed with half Testor's glosscoat and half Testor's dullcoat thinned with lacquer thinner.
