This is a factory painted C 44-9W that I redetailed. Among the modifications was the complete grit blasting and painting of the underframe and handrails. New wire grabs were used. Bare Metal Foil was used on the intakes. All of the safety labeling was decaled on, touchup painting etc. The unit was then clearcoated and assembled. The picture was taken at the Elmhurst Model Railroad Club in Elmhurst Illinois on an IC modeler's night.
