This unit was built from a Kato SD 40-2 from pictures I had of the actual unit. Details such as the nose bell, lift rings, grab irons, MU hoses and a cab vent were added. Painting involved using Scalecoat II Des Planes Hobbies CNW yellow and polyscale CNW dark green. The underframe was finished with Testors Modelmaster Acryl semigloss black. The decals are Microscale, and the overcoat is half Testor's glosscoat and half Testor's Dullcoat thinned with lacquer thinner.
